Sustainability Policy
At Freedom Signs we care passionately about the environment and have developed a unique green charter. We aim to recycle and re-purpose as much as possible and encourage the use of eco-friendly materials and products.
When we can, we conduct meetings virtually and keep site visits to a minimum to limit the use of transport. Therefore, reducing costs for the client and helping to protect the planet.
We work closely with like-minded companies who supply PVC free self-adhesive vinyls and substrates, non-solvent based inks and paints and recycled sheet materials along with a preference for aluminium which in itself is infinitely recyclable. It’s also our aim to re-cycle and re-purpose everything we use, from packaging through to discarded signs, as well as encouraging the use of non-polluting cleaning products and adhesives.
All of our staff live and work in Cornwall which cuts down on travelling costs and source all raw materials such as sheet metal and timber from Cornish suppliers. Despite living and working in Cornwall we still promote virtual meetings and electronic communications in the first instance and organise any necessary site meetings and installations to coincide in as few trips as possible in order to minimise carbon emissions.
As part of our own ongoing sustainability charter, we have IEMA accreditation which is the professional body for companies working towards an internal environmental policy.
